Ann M. Harkins of the National Crime Prevention Council Wins BRAVA! Smart CEO Award
on July 27, 2011.
Congratulations to Ann M. Harkins, President and CEO, National Crime Prevention Council for being recognized as a SmartCEO winner this year. The 2011 Brava! Women Business Achievement Awards recognize the outstanding achievements of 25 female leaders in the Washington, DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia markets. Ms. Harkins will be featured in the July edition of SmartCEO Magazine.
When asked to comment on the award, Ms. Harkins said, “I am honored to receive the Smart CEO award because it is recognition for the positive impact of the National Crime Prevention Council and the thousands of crime prevention practitioners across the country who work tirelessly for little pay to help keep people safe and make our communities better places to live, work and play. I have a terrific team at NCPC – the staff is great, the Board of Directors is committed, and our advisors are expert. It doesn’t get better than that in the non-profit world. This is a tribute to them.”
