GO-Mentor

Bestselling Author Richard Paul Evans supports the efforts of GO-Mentor, a collaborative initiative of NCPC

Miles to Go

In his new novel, Miles to Go, bestselling author Richard Paul Evans brings to life the challenges of youth aging out of the foster care system. Though this story may be fictional, the challenges facing youth who age out are very real. Research shows that six out of 10 youth aging out of foster care will be homeless, incarcerated, or dead within the first two years. Many youth who age out lack the essential skills, resources, and support to live a safe and independent life.  The Utah Youth Mentor Project and the School of Life Foundation in Utah have teamed up with the National Crime Prevention Council to form GO-Mentor to provide services to these at-risk youth.  To contribute financially to this exciting effort, please click here .
