New Bulletin in Girls Study Group Series
announcing OJJDP publication
The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) has published Resilient Girls – Factors That Protect Against Delinquency. Part of the OJJDP Girls Study Group series, this bulletin draws on data from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health. It describes how four factors (the presence of a caring adult, school connectedness, school success, and religiosity) help keep girls from becoming delinquent. Read the bulletin (PDF). The Girls Study Group was created to provide a comprehensive research foundation for understanding and responding to girls’ involvement in delinquency.
