Formerly known in Arizona as National Night Out, G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) encourages residents to get together in their respective communities to promote safety and neighborhood communication and celebrate the successes of crime prevention through community involvement. For the celebration on October 3, 2009, any participating Scottsdale neighborhood may request visits from any city official, including the mayor. In addition, members of the community are invited to attend our annual G.A.I.N. Kick-Off in August, which provides resources, ideas, and prizes to help our party planners plan the perfect party for their neighborhood.
