October Fire and Safety Fair
We want to promote and teach skills that will help prevent fires and keep families safe.

On October 17, 2009 the South Beaverton Home Depot will conduct a safety fair from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We will offer classes on fire extinguisher safety, smoke detector safety, and how to prepare an evacuation plan for emergencies. We are also going to conduct a kids' clinic where handouts, treats, popcorn, and balloons will be available. We are hoping to have McGruff the Crime Dog make an appearance. We will also have the local fire department and police department there with a fire truck and police car. An area will be reserved for car seat safety checks. This event is intended to help raise public awareness that October is Fire and Safety Awareness Month.
