The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office - “Celebrate Safe Communities”

This day is designed to showcase law enforcement organizations and encourage citizens to meet local public safety professionals in a positive learning environment.

Children, College or university student, staff, or faculty, Homeowner or neighborhood associations, K-12 school faculty or administrators, Local government agency officials (other than public safety), Local news media, Military service members and their families, Parents, Representatives of public safety agencies besides law enforcement (fire, emergency services, emergency planning/management), Senior citizens, Teens, Watch groups (Block, Neighborhood, Business), Youth-serving organizations (B&G Clubs, YMCA, etc.)

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office will host a Celebrate Safe Communities event at LaFortune Park, 5323 South Yale Avenue (Gardens Arera), on October 17, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  October is Crime Prevention Month and we have invited all Tulsa County safety professionals to participate in this event.  The event is designed to showcase area law enforcement organizations and encourage Tulsa County citizens to meet their local public safety professionals in a positive learning environment.  This event is our way to promote neighborhood spirit and our police community-partnerships.  There will be fun for the kids, food while it lasts, and plenty of crime prevention and safety tips will be served up.  Come and join us in the fun.  This is a free event.  The following agencies have been invited to participate: Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Tulsa Life Flight, Bixby Police and Fire, Broken Arrow Police and Fire, Collinsville Police and Fire, Owasso Police and Fire, Skiatook Police and Fire, Tulsa Police and Fire, Jenks Police and Fire, Glenpool Police and Fire, Sperry Police, Army, Navy, Air Force,, and Marines.All public safety professionals will display their equipment and services.
