NCPC Consultants in the Field
On May 18, Ron Tidler, a Detective Sergeant with the Anchorage Police Department, conducted a 1.5 hour presentation on Cyberbullying at the Family Matters in Indian Country seminar in Eureka, CA.
Thanks to the recent Training of Trainers held in May 2011 by NCPC and a presentation made there by Vickie Owen from Mesa, PD, on Radio Frequency Identification Devices (RFID), Ron Tidler was able to use this presentation and adapt it to issues facing Alaska. Mr. Tidler had been conducting research on this topic for his state and with Ms. Owen’s help, used the information to create his own presentation. He recently conducted several presentations on this topic, including one to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), an international organization consisting of approximately 55,000 members worldwide. He also presented it to the Anchorage Chapter audience where the national President and CEO of the ACFE, Mr. James Ratley from Texas, was in attendance. Mr. Tidler has received positive comments in reference to the presentation and about NCPC efforts on crime prevention.
