Training of Trainers Recap
On May 3rd through May 5th, 2011, NCPC hosted a Training of Trainers in Arlington, VA. This training event provided a forum for skilled trainers, content experts, and seasoned law enforcement officers with a training background to help NCPC in its efforts to provide cutting edge training to newly hired crime prevention officers and practitioners nationwide.
Presentations were conducted in a number of crime prevention-related areas. In addition to the presentations, participants were given an opportunity to network with peers from different states. Discussions included some of the challenges participants were facing locally and statewide as a result of funding cuts and possible solutions. The group was asked to help NCPC develop a strategy for the marketing the program regionally and nationally.
