National Conference
Thank you for making the 8th National Conference on Preventing Crime a tremendous success!
The 8th National Conference on Preventing Crime: Helping Build Safer Communities was a hit! Conference attendees raved about the training sessions, the president’s reception at the Georgia Aquarium, the awards luncheon, the exhibit hall, and the conference as a whole. Daryl Pearson of the Washington State Crime Prevention Association said, “The classes I attended were very useful and informative. I feel the 8th National Conference on Preventing Crime has been the best one yet.” The conference was held in Atlanta, GA, on October 3-5, 2007, and provided 67 training sessions, five professional development institutes, three general sessions, and an exhibit hall with 45 exhibitors. More than 700 crime prevention practitioners participated in learning, networking, and sharing new ideas and strategies on crime prevention. Carmen Caldwell of Youth Crime Watch of Miami-Dade summed it up as “truly a great experience.”
