Fake Vaping Products

Help Combat Fake Vapor Products

Black-Market Vapor Products

The National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC), the National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center (IPR Center), and Juul Labs, Inc. are working with law enforcement and community leaders to promote public health and safety by keeping the public safe from fake vaping products. NCPC will draw upon its vast, nationwide network to inform law enforcement, trade partners, and other adult community leaders about the dangers of counterfeit and black-market vaping products.

Health and Safety Risks

Illicit, black-market vapor products have negative public-health consequences and are infiltrating local communities. These illicit products undermine efforts to combat youth vaping and present additional health and safety risks for adult consumers. Help us in our joint effort to protect adult consumers from the additional risks of illicit vapor products and keep all vapor products—authentic ones and fakes—out of the reach of our country’s youth.

Stop Fake Vape Products

Working together, we can combat the dangers of illicit vapor products through awareness and education.

Combatting Illicit Vapor Products: Public/Private Partnerships, Actionable Intelligence, and Real Tools to Prosecute

New! Watch the virtual training event below hosted by the National District Attorneys Association to learn more about the public health and safety impacts of illicit vapor products and how resources available through this public-private partnership helps combat the problem.

“Thanks to NCPC and the IPR Center, the truth about illicit vapor products is coming to light. These counterfeits expose unassuming consumers to addictive drugs in addition to other dangerous chemicals. Take, for example, the fact that some fake vapor products have been known to contain traces of highly addictive, illicit drugs like fentanyl and methamphetamine. NCPC provides great tools for local law enforcement. This toolkit will help stop black-marketeers in their tracks and empower members of our communities to protect themselves from the many threats these illicit products pose.”
