Safe Firearms Storage Campaign
The Safe Firearms Storage campaign encourages firearms owners to make safe firearms storage a priority. To encourage current and prospective firearm owners to safely lock up their weapons when they’re not in use, the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) created a new public service advertising (PSA) campaign developed in partnership with the Ad Council and funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). one-day training for law enforcement provided by the FINRA Investor Education Foundation, the National Crime Prevention Council, and the White Collar Crime Center. The training will provide the knowledge and tools to prevent and respond to this growing crime problem. It will help simplify the often complex-seeming criminal activity of investment fraud and provide resources to use to pursue successful investigations. The training includes instruction and guidance on prevention and on interviewing victims to help victims and the potential investigation. This training is appropriate for crime prevention or community resource officers, detectives, as well as patrol officers who are often the first to talk with investment fraud victims. Register here!
